  • CIAM is part of the project of the Duques de Soria Foundation, and provides services for teaching and learning Spanish, training Spanish teachers and translators, and promoting humanism in general and the Hispanic culture in particular.
  • As a result of the agreement signed between the Duques de Soria Foundation and CIAM, we take part in the activities of the Permanent Observatory of Hispanism and the International Association of Hispanists through the writer J.A. González Sainz, our cultural director. CIAM welcomes Hispanists who come to the headquarters of the Foundation to research.
  • Through the agreement signed with the Duques de Soria Foundation, CIAM also established links with the University of Valladolid.
  • Since 2014 CIAM is an Instituto Cervantes Accredited Center, which means that it meets the requirements and criteria established by the Instituto Cervantes for the accreditation and recognition of educational institutions working in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language. In order to renew the accreditation, we need to go through external assessment every three years and develop improvement plans which are carefully reviewed by evaluators from the Instituto Cervantes.
  • CIAM is also an official Spanish exam center of the Instituto Cervantes, which means that we can prepare our students to the exams of the Diplomas of Spanish as a foreign language (DELE in Spanish) and hold the exams at our own center. We also have the license to administer the sociocultural and constitutional knowledge tests (CCSE in Spanish) that the Instituto Cervantes has developed and that are required in Spain to acquire the Spanish nationality. Furthermore, we have an agreement with the Instituto Cervantes that allows us and our students to use the platform and online materials of the Instituto Cervantes: the so-called AVE Global.
  • CIAM also has agreements with other institutions such as Soria City Council, in order to implement the cultural program, and the Memorial Center for Victims of Terrorism to hold cultural activities.
  • Several academic institutions focused on the promotion of teaching-learning processes also have agreements with CIAM, including the Association of Hispanists of Egypt, the University of Udine, the University of Padua, the City University of New York, and the University of Nebraska Omaha.
  • In order to carry out the program “Spanish in the community and volunteering”, CIAM has collaboration agreements with organizations that work on renewable energy sources such as CEDER; social foundations such as CEPAIM; projects that promote social entrepreneurship such as El Hueco; associations that help people with intellectual disability and their families such as ASAMIS; and the Red Cross, among many others.
  • The educational activities and events organized at CIAM are occasionally sponsored by institutions such as the Diputación de Soria, Caja Rural de Soria, Spain's Public Agency for Cultural Action, and the Complutense University of Madrid.
