Students visit the city of Soria and the area (Caltañazor, Caracena, Gormaz Castle, etc.). They became familiar with the culture of wine in their visit to La Rioja and its wineries, they travel to Madrid to visit its most important museums, they visit San Sebastián, and they get to know Segovia and La Granja. They spend 7 weeks practising sports and walking along the banks of the Douro River. This program is art, history, sports, fun and much more.
Accommodation with a host family
Living with a host family is an invaluable experience, a unique opportunity to challenge oneself and develop linguistic and intercultural skills. Living with a family ensures using Spanish to communicate and it also helps breaking down prejudices and stereotypes, and having a broader perspective.
Our families are special. Soria is a city where everyone knows each other and we know our host families. In fact, they are part of our community and our project. Besides a familiar environment to spend time and talk, they offer students an individual or doubled room, the use of common spaces at the house, a private or shared bathroom, and Wi-Fi connection. The families live very close to the city center and no more than 30 minutes away from CIAM.
We select families after visiting their house, which provides information about the family members and the relationships between them. For us it is important to ensure effective communication with them, as we want our students to feel welcome.
